Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 7, 2026

These Terms & Conditions outline the general conditions that apply when using this website and when booking or receiving services from Hanifah Daniel, TRA, Thérapeute en relation d’aideᴹᴰ.

By booking an appointment or using my services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms. These terms complement, but do not replace, the informed consent process associated with professional services.

1. Services

I provide individual relationship assistance services to adults using the Creative Non-Directive Approach (CNDA®).

Sessions are offered online and are 50 minutes in length. Services are available in English and French.

A reduced rate is available to eligible post-secondary students. Proof of current enrolment may be requested.

2. Professional Scope

I am a TRA, Thérapeute en relation d’aideᴹᴰ. I am not a psychologist or psychotherapist.

The term “therapy” used throughout this website refers to relationship assistance services and does not refer to psychotherapy as defined under Quebec professional legislation.

My services are intended to support self-understanding, emotional awareness, personal growth, relationships, needs, patterns, and difficulties encountered in everyday life.

My services do not include psychotherapy, psychological assessment, diagnosis, or treatment of mental health disorders. They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other regulated healthcare services.

If your needs fall outside the scope of my practice, I may recommend that you consult another qualified professional or service.

3. Booking Appointments

Appointments are scheduled through the online booking system connected to Google Calendar.

You are responsible for providing accurate contact information and for verifying the date and time of your appointment.

Information submitted while booking may be processed through Google services. For more information about how personal information is handled, please review the Privacy Policy.

4. Fees and Payment

Current session fees are listed on the Services page of this website.

For clients in Canada, payment is made by Interac e-Transfer after each session.

Payment is due on the same day as the session.

If you are located outside of Canada, please contact me to discuss the available payment options.

Fees may change from time to time. Any fee change affecting an existing client will be communicated in advance.

5. Student Rate

The student rate is available to adults who are currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational program.

Proof of current enrolment may be requested to confirm eligibility for the reduced rate.

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible.

Late cancellations, repeated cancellations, or missed appointments may affect future scheduling. Any applicable cancellation or no-show policy will be communicated to you before services begin.

7. Punctuality

Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment.

If you arrive late, the session will generally still end at the originally scheduled time so that subsequent appointments are not affected.

If a delay is significant enough that the session can no longer reasonably take place, we may need to reschedule.

8. Insurance Receipts

Insurance receipts are available following payment of each session and are issued under Naturopathic Services (Consultation).

You are responsible for submitting your receipts to your insurance provider and for confirming whether naturopathic services are covered under your specific insurance plan.

Insurance coverage varies between providers and plans. The issuance of a receipt does not guarantee reimbursement by your insurance provider.

9. Online Sessions

Services are provided online. You are responsible for having a suitable device, a reliable internet connection, and, whenever possible, a private environment where you feel comfortable speaking freely.

Technical difficulties may occasionally interrupt an online session. If a significant technical issue prevents the session from continuing, we will determine an appropriate way to proceed.

Sessions may not be recorded by either party without prior agreement.

10. Your Participation

Your participation in relationship assistance services is voluntary.

You remain responsible for the decisions, choices, and actions you take in your life. You may raise concerns about the process, decline an intervention, or choose to end services at any time.

Relationship assistance can support reflection, awareness, self-understanding, and personal development. However, specific outcomes or results cannot be guaranteed.

11. Changes in Your Health or Well-Being

Please let me know if there are significant changes in your psychological or physical health during the course of our work together, especially if those changes may affect your safety, your needs, or the appropriateness of the services I provide.

If your needs change or fall outside the scope of my practice, I may recommend that you consult another qualified professional or service.

12. Confidentiality

Information shared during sessions is treated as confidential and is handled in accordance with applicable professional, ethical, and legal obligations.

Information will not normally be shared with another person without your consent.

There are circumstances in which confidentiality may be limited or disclosure may be required or permitted by law. This can include situations involving a serious risk to your safety or the safety of another person, a legal reporting obligation, a court order, or another applicable legal requirement.

When disclosure is necessary, I will limit the information shared to what is reasonably necessary in the circumstances whenever possible.

13. Referrals and Other Professional Services

Relationship assistance does not replace medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other healthcare services when those services are needed.

I may recommend that you consult another professional if your needs would be better supported by a different type of service, assessment, treatment, or professional expertise.

You remain free to decide whether or not to follow a referral or recommendation.

14. Emergencies and Crisis Situations

My services, email, website contact form, and online booking system are not emergency or crisis services and should not be used when immediate assistance is required.

If you are in immediate danger or require urgent medical assistance, call 911.

If you or someone you know is thinking about suicide, you can call or text 988, Canada’s Suicide Crisis Helpline, which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

15. Communication

Email and the website contact form may be used for general questions, scheduling, and administrative communication.

Please avoid sending highly sensitive, detailed medical, or urgent information through the website contact form or regular email.

I aim to respond to website inquiries within 48 hours. Response times may vary during weekends, holidays, periods of leave, or other times when I am unavailable.

16. Privacy and Personal Information
